We employ independent structural engineers to verify our oak barns. They inspect the soil conditions, verify the sub-structure design and provide the necessary calculations to support the design for onward submission to Building Control.

Alternative foundation designs are available should ground conditions dictate, such as piled or raft foundations. We work closely with our engineers and are able to advise alternative solutions in a timely manner so as not to disrupt any agreed program of work.

All our bespoke oak frames are subjected to rigorous third party engineering analysis for structural validity, and the structural calculations will be sent to you for retention and forwarding to the Building Control Officer where required.

As our buildings are bespoke we structurally prove each and every one of our oak frames. This ensures we meet your exact requirements with the optimum oak beam section sizes and therefore produce the most cost effective solution.

We also offer you a Value Engineering service in which we take your design and make practical suggestions to ensure you are informed of any opportunities within the frame design to optimize the costs whilst still meeting the brief.
